The Thunder ($149 MSRP through Indiegogo) noise-cancelling Lightning headphones are popular—the product has quintupled its crowdsourcing goal with two weeks left to go during its fund-raising period. Why? Maybe because it promises “powerful noise cancellation” without using too much power: Just 1 percent of a battery’s reserves per hour, “meaning you can kick back and relax and not worry about battery levels.”
Como’s Solo ($299 MSRP, same price on AmazonRemove product link) and Duetto ($399 MSRP, same price on AmazonRemove product link) are Bluetooth-enabled speaker systems that let you enjoy music streamed from your iOS device. The Solo has a single tweeter and woofer; the Duetto, as you might’ve guessed, doubles those specs. Both are encased in half-inch MDF woof cabinets, making them look as good as they sound.
Here are earbuds that listen to you: Jabra Elite Sport wireless earphones provide up to three hours of music playback—they’re designed for workouts—but also tracks your fitness and feeds vital statistics back to Jabra’s integrated app on your phone. The earphones go on sale in November; pre-orders will be available soon.
Now that the iPhone 7 is here, this company is launching its new u-Jays Wireless headphones, a new branch of its u-Jays line. The earphones offer more than 25 hours of playback on a single charge; pre-production has started and the product should ship by the end of the year.
Hey, something that’s not iPhone 7-related! The K780 Wireless Multi-Device Keyboard ($80) works with your Mac, your iPhone, and your iPad—just push a button and you can switch between devices; the keyboard will recognize the kind of device it’s matched to and operate accordingly.
The ThermoPeanut ($29 MSRP, same price on AmazonRemove product link) is a “smart wireless thermometer”—place one in every room where you want to monitor the temperature, and the device will relay that info to your phone via Bluetooth. If a room gets too hot or cold, you’ll receive alerts on your phone.
The new ToughTested ($28 MSRP) line of cables are designed, well, to be tough. “The 8-foot ToughTested charging cables are wrapped in a P.E.T. polymer that makes them heat, chemical and abrasion resistant. The cables are tested at 3-5x manufactured standards and pass a strain-relief bend test for 25,000 bends.”
The iFrogz ($30 to $40 MSRP) line of earbuds has launched—each of the four new devices (Charisma, Summit, Impulse, and Plugz) offers sweat-resistant design and up to 10 hours of audio playback before a charge is needed. The line is available for pre-order now.
