This week’s roundup is full of new ways to recharge your iPhone or iPad while you’re on the go. Read on!
Solar Paper ($200 MSRP, $124.62 on AmazonRemove product link) is billed as “the world’s smallest solar charger for the amount of potential wattage it can generate.” The makers say it can recharge your iPhone in 2.5 hours on a sunny day. And the system is expandable; strong magnets mean you can string together a series of Solar Paper panels to generate even more backup power.
The Bump Charger ($40 MSRP) is a “pocket-friendly powerbank,” featuring a 3350-mAh battery that can extend your iPhone’s battery life by 150 percent. Plug it in, and it takes about three hours to fully charge. It’s available in black, blue, magenta and red.
The Top Gum Power Pack ($79.95 MSRP, $73.72 on AmazonRemove product link) includes a built-in, tangle-free Lightning cable and a magnetic recharging dock, and features enough power to recharge an iPhone three times over, or an iPad mini up to three-fourths of its maximum battery.
The Lensta lens ($49 pledge for a two-pack) bills itself as a “professional smartphone lens”—it features a wide-angle lens built (its makers say) to better capture high-resolution images and the colors in them. And the product will get to market: Lensta reached its funding goal on Indiegogo in late September.
The Under Armour Sport Wireless Heart Rate headphones ($199.95 MSRP) are designed to be used with Under Armour’s Record app; taken together, the app and hardware provides audio feedback, tracking your heart rate and coaching you to get that rate into the fitness zone. The headphones will be available for pre-order on October 30.
This company this week announced the launch of its new VG1 ($150 MSRP) “premium personal audio unit.” The Bluetooth speaker can pick up your iOS device’s signal from up to 30 feet away, can play music for up to 15 hours on a single charge, and can automatically pair with another VG1 to provide portable stereo sound. Preorders will start soon.
The Hover Bar 3 ($60 MSRP, same price on AmazonRemove product link) actually makes it appear as though your iPad is hovering there, mid-air, for you to use and view at your convenience. It features flexible zinc-and-silicone construction; just attach it to a desk edge, kitchen counter, or a work table and you’re ready to go.
A couple of new keyboards from this company. The Slim Book Pro for 9.7-inch iPad Pro ($150 MSRP) keeps the thickness of your tablet at less than an inch, and can pair with up to three devices at a time, toggling quickly between each. The Rugged Book Pro for 9.7-inch iPad Pro (pictured, $150 MSRP) can withstand drops up to six feet.
