The previous-generation iPad Pros are still wonderful devices, and at the moment the best thing about them is that you don’t have to worry if they’re suddenly going to bend on you. And right now B&H is selling both the 10-inch and 12.9-inch models for the lowest prices we’ve seen to date , with discounts ranging from $200 to $280. That’s better than all of the deals we saw on Black Friday.
I’m especially impressed that some of these discounts apply to models with Wi-Fi and 4G LTE, such as this space gray 12.9-inch 64GB model . With the $230 discount, you can get it for just $699, down from the normal price of $929.
If you want a little more storage space (and you probably should, as 64GB isn’t really big enough to handle many “pro” projects like video files or games), you can get this 12.9-inch 256GB space gray model with Wi-Fi only for just $749, down $200 from the normal price of $949.
As I said in my review of the latest iPad Pro, it’s almost too powerful for the apps that you can currently use with the iPad (although you’ll likely want one of the newer models if you plan on using Adobe Photoshop for the iPad when it releases sometime this year). In general, these older models will be still able to handle anything you throw at them with ease.
Keep in mind, though, that they also only support the $99 first-generation Apple Pencil, which doesn’t charge as elegantly as the model you’ll find on the new iPad Pro and comes with other frustrations such as a cap that’s easy to lose. B&H sells the Pencil as well, but it’s not available for a discount.
