MacBooks are great. They’re fantastic. But the sad truth is that you have to plunk out a fortune if you want one with all the bells and whistles, and in the case of the MacBook Pro, “bells and whistles” often merely means having enough storage space to properly use your rig for video editing. That’s why we’re so happy to see today’s B&H Photo’s deal on a 2017 15.4-inch 1TB MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. Today, B&H is knocking a whopping $1,200 off the normal price of $3,399, which brings the price down to $2,199.
Keep in mind that this is a DealZone offer, so it’ll only be around for the next eight or so hours (or at least while supplies last).

If I had that kind of change to throw around, I’d be tempted to get one solely for that 1TB of built-in SSD storage. It also isn’t terribly different from the 2018 MacBook Pro if you’re worried about power, although Apple included a membrane in the 2018 model’s keyboard that makes typing quieter (and more pleasurable, in my opinion) and keeps crumbs and similar junk from slipping between the keys.
In some severe cases, this junk stops the keyboard from working entirely, which forced some users to replace their entire keyboard. On the bright side, the problem wasn’t super widespread—and indeed, I never have a problem with it despite being a not-so-tidy laptop user—but it’s something to keep in mind.
The 15-inch MacBook Pro is also a tad too big for the portability I prefer, but I’d never tell you that the huge Retina display doesn’t look gorgeous when you’re sitting in front of it. I also like that it comes four USB-C ports, which makes it easy to hook up whatever gadget I need (so long, of course, as I have the appropriate dongles). I normally keep mine hooked up to an external display, and I still have ports left over for the power cord, the network cable, and a dongle for my SD cards.
