Amazon is knocking hundreds of dollars off refurbished 15-inch MacBook Pros

Finding a good deal for Apple’s pricey 15-inch MacBooks Pros can be tough, and that’s why we’re happy to report that Amazon’s Gold Box Deal of the Day features 2018 refurbished models for anywhere from $520 to $820 off. In the case of the 16GB/256GB model, that lets you pick one up for $1879.99, down $520 from the usual listed retail price of $2399.99. If you want more storage, you can get the 16GB/512GB model for $1,979.99, down from $2,799.99.

As we said at the time, it’s a “laptop that pro users will love.” This was also the first MacBook in which Apple started putting a membrane under the clacky “butterfly” keyboards, which both kept them quieter and lessened the chance that crumbs and other gunk would slip under the keys and potentially render the keyboard useless. (This was a whole scandal with previous models, as Apple would have to replace the entire keyboard if one key stopped working properly.)

All models are certified to work like new, although the one-year warranty comes from Amazon’s Woot service instead of Apple itself. If you quickly realize this model isn’t for you, Amazon also has a generous 14-day return policy.
