If the price of Apple’s fancy 2018 iPad Pros is what’s kept you from buying one, today’s deal will make you glad you waited. Right now Amazon is selling both the 11- and 12.9-inch models for big discounts, but you’ll find the best discounts on the units with the most storage—that is, the kind of storage you’ll want if you intend to use these as “pro” devices.
In many most cases they’re the best prices we’ve ever seen—and by a significant margin, at that. The 11-inch 1TB model with Wi-Fi, for instance, is on sale for $1,149.99, down from the $1,549 it originally sold for. Meanwhile, the 12.9-inch model is selling for $1,349.99, down from the original price of $1,749.
Again, all of the models are on sale, and for much better prices than I’m aware of at competing retailers such as Best Buy . Click through the various configurations and you’re likely to find a price and storage combination that works for you. You’ll see discounts for the cellular models, too, but they aren’t quite as dramatic.
The tablets themselves are wonderful, as they’re powered with a blazing fast A12X Bionic chip that makes these iPad Pros faster than many proper laptops on the market. They support the second-generation Apple Pencil, which immediately pairs and charges when you place it on the magnetic strip on the iPad’s side. (Unfortunately, you’ll have to buy it separately.) These models also use Face ID instead of the Touch ID found on older models, which means you won’t have to constantly reach down when you’re unlocking apps or logging into websites. It saves a lot of time. As an additional treat, these models will have much better software features once iPadOS 13 drops next month.
