A pair of iOS apps from two Silicon Valley giants made headlines in the past week, so we give them some time in the spotlight in the latest Macworld Podcast. Joining me are senior editor Christopher Breen and staff writer Lex Friedman to talk about Podcasts, Apple’s latest iOS app, and Chrome, a version of Google’s browser for Apple’s mobile devices.

Macworld provided a first look at Podcasts when it debuted last week; Chris followed that article up with his review of Podcasts. You can find our reviews of other iOS podcast managers in one place. Chris is fond of Downcast, though Macworld contributor Joel Mathis had some kind things to say about Stitcher Radio when he looked at what makes for a great podcasting app.
As for the iOS version of Chrome, Lex mentions an article by Macworld’s Dan Moren on why Google released a version of its Web browser for the iPhone and iPad. Lex’s review of Chrome will appear on Macworld.com later this week.
