When we reviewed Apple’s refreshed iPad Air in April, we said the device hit “the sweet spot” for most users. But if you didn’t find the retail price quite so sweet at the time, you’ll be happy to know that Amazon is once again selling both the Wi-Fi-only and cellular models for matches of the lowest prices we’ve seen on the retailer’s site to date.
All of the models are on sale, but the following configurations are what you’ll want to check out if you want the most noteworthy discounts. On one hand, you have the 256GB Wi-Fi-only model, which is selling for $597, down $52 from the regular retail price of $649. On the other, there’s the 256GB Wi-Fi with cellular model for $52 off, which brings the price down to $727 from the normal retail price of $779.
If you’re simply going for low cost, you can get the 64GB Wi-Fi-only model for just $459, down $40 from its retail price. Amazon briefly sold it for $10 less back in July.
Here are a few specs you can expect:
- 10.5-inch Retina display with True Tone tech
- A12 Bionic chip
- 8MP rear camera
- 7MP FaceTime camera
- Roughly 10 hours of battery life

Essentially, the iPad Air is the model you want if you want more power and more storage. Those two features will likely also translate into a longer lifespan over Apple’s less expensive device in the long run.
