Remember all the uproar when Apple announced that the iPhone X would start at $600? Those days are behind us now, and today you can get a refurbished iPhone X with 256GB of storage for just $600 if you head to Amazon’s Woot service. You can buy a fully unlocked model, or you can buy it with a GSM chip (which means it’s compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile in the U.S.) If you buy the same refurbished model from Apple, you’ll still end up paying over $200 more. In 2017, this model would have cost you $1,150.
Go for this deal if you haven’t upgraded your phone in years but also want an iPhone with a ton of storage. There’s no question that the current iPhone 11 (which starts at $699 for the 64GB model) is a much better device, but you might find 64GB limiting if you like to keep a lot of apps and movies in your handset.
256GB, though, is a lot of room for a phone. If you need more space than that, I’d kind of like to know what you’re doing with it.
Just a reminder, though: these are refurbished units that may have scratches or dents. Fortunately, if you decide that one of these works for you, Woot offers a generous 90-day limited warranty.
