You’re usually going to pay a lot more when you get an Apple Watch with both cellular and GPS compatibility, and that’s why we’re impressed with the GPS + cellular 38mm Apple Watch Series 3 Walmart is selling today. It’s on sale for just $199, which is down a full $180 from the $379 it sold for at launch. This is the best price we’ve ever seen it listed before. Unfortunately, it’s only available for this price with a silver aluminum case and a white sport band.
Granted, the Series 3 is two generations old at this point, and you’ll miss out on nifty features like the Series 5’s always-on display, and the faster speeds and better battery life of both the Series 4 and Series 5. In addition, you’ll won’t have features like the built-in ECG and fall detector, so keep that in mind if you’d like to get this for an older member of your family.
For all that, though, it’s still a good watch. It’s still quite fast, it’s highly water resistant, and it boasts a good battery life. I personally still use the Apple Watch Series 3, and I’ve felt no pressure to upgrade yet.
