Apple’s entry-level 10.2-inch iPad is already reasonably priced, as it’s aimed at students and people who have no need for a tablet that can hold its own with some MacBooks. Today’s discount prices at Amazon, though, make the standard prices look sky-high.
If you just want to pay the lowest possible price, you can get the silver 32GB model with Wi-Fi for an agreeable $249.99, down $79 from its normal retail price. The best deal, though, is the $329.99 the 128GB version with Wi-Fi is selling for, down from the normal retail price of $429.
That means you’re getting four times the amount of space you get in the 32GB model for the 32GB model’s normal price. If you plan on stuffing your tablet with lots of games, movies, and large apps, this is the smart way to go. File and app sizes are getting larger all the time, and more room ensures your device will see a few years’ worth of use.
For more information, be sure to check out my review of the 10.2-inch iPad from last October. This model hasn’t changed much internally from the one before it, but on the outside, it has a Smart Connector and a slightly larger display. The larger screen is good for watching movies and playing games, of course, but you’ll especially appreciate it if you plan on drawing or writing with the optional Apple Pencil.
