The new MacBook Air technically isn’t even out yet, but you can already find it on sale with $49 discounts over at Amazon. That brings the price of the new entry-level 256GB MacBook Air to $949.99(down from $999).
We haven’t had a chance to get our hands on this model for a review yet, but we know there are a couple of standout features besides the expected performance boost. For one thing, the entry-level MacBook Air finally got a storage boost from 128GB to 256GB, which is better suited for the big file sizes of today. Also, this model sports Apple’s new scissor-switch keyboard, which takes the place of the widely reviled butterfly keyboard found in most MacBooks released in the last decade. We heard the keyboard is pleasant to type on, although a few people say they still wish it had a bit more key travel.
Look for our review in the coming days.
