More Apple Watch stands
Accessory makers are finding every possible design permutation to achieve a simple task: Hold and display your Apple Watch while it charges. Several new docks are in this week’s roundup. Read on!
The $25 K Ble MFI Cable is billed as the “world’s strongest”—featuring a a woven nylon braid, aluminium casing and extended rubber strain protectors. It’s also ten feet long, making it extra useful as well as extra durable.
Most Apple Watch docks have an element of verticality to them, holding the watch display up and aloft for all to see. The $45 Dark Maple Apple Watch Dock is all horizontal, combining maple and iron to let your watch rest as it charges. You know you’ve got something cool. You don’t need to show it off all the time.
The Infinite M is a wireless charger with a built-in, removable backup battery that snaps to the home base magnetically. The device has exceeded its Kickstarter funding goal, but there’s still time to make a pledge—starting at the $75 level—to receive the device when it starts shipping in December.
The $60 Dock for Apple Watch is a block of matte graphite silicone and aircraft grade aluminum, featuring a knob on the side from which you can hang and charge your Apple Watch. The device “complements both your watch and your interiors,” the makers say, “making it an object for the home as well as the ultimate Apple Watch accessory.”
The $500 Smart Home Control Kit is an all-in-one home security and video monitoring kit that pushes security notifications straight to your iPhone or iPad, while also making live HD video directly available to you from a remote location. It’s a good way to check in on the kids or simply make sure the house is still in order.
The Energi Desktop Charger is a five-port model that reportedly charges your mobile electronics 2.4 times as fast as most chargers, which must be the reason the device has more than doubled its fundraising goal on Indiegogo. You can still claim an “early bird” special with a pledge of $65.
The $45 Wood Apple Watch Charger Holder & iPhone Holder is, well, accurately named, giving both your phone and your watch a place to sit and recharge when they’re not in use. It comes in beech or bamboo.
