...plus, Logitech’s competitor to Apple’s Smart Keyboard, and more
The iPad Pro is here, and so are the accessories! Feast your eyes on iPad Pro cases from Apple, DODOcase, Targus, and more. Read on!
Because the iPad Pro is a work machine, you’ll likely want to grab a keyboard to use along with it. Apple’s own Smart Keyboard (iPad Pro; $169) features a full-sized keyboard/case combo that seamlessly connects to your iPad Pro through its Smart Connector, and starts working right away without the need for pairing or additional setup.
It basically looks like an oversized iPad Smart Cover, but with a fourth panel for the keyboard—it even maintains the polyurethane exterior and microfiber interior lining. The Smart Connector acts as the keyboard’s power source, so you don’t ever have to charge it. And because it is a keyboard case, it acts as a stand in landscape-orientation with support for two angles: One with the keyboard in front of you, ready for typing, and another the hides the keyboard and props it up in Smart Cover fashion.
Slim and durable, the Multi-Angle (iPad Pro; $80) is a handcrafted book-style folio that is compatible with the iPad Pro’s magnetic sleep/wake feature.
The case includes a polymer tray to keep your iPad in place while protecting its comers and sides, and houses custom cutouts for its buttons, Lightning port, and back-facing camera. It can also be used as a stand that supports multiple landscape-orientation viewing angles (hence the name!), and comes with an elastic closure to keep the cover securely closed when not in use. The Multi-Angle comes in two-tone color combinations of black/charcoal, slate/indigo, green/gunnysack, or granite/merlot.
If you can’t wait for Apple’s Smart Keyboard’s lengthy ship time to roll around, consider Logitech’s Create Keyboard (iPad Pro; $150). It has a full-sized, backlit keyboard with an extra row of shortcut keys designed to make your iPad Pro feel more like a MacBook Pro.
The case features a Smart Connector, so you can use the keyboard sans Bluetooth or pairing and won’t have to worry about charging it. The case itself is compatible with the iPad Pro’s magnetic sleep/wake feature, and is available in black, gray, blue, purple, or red.
