A new dock for MacBook

This week’s roundup includes a new wooden MacBook dock made by Grovemade. Plus: External hard drives, satchels, keyboards, and more. Read on!

Amped Wireless

The $190 Titan-Ex lets you deliver workplace Wi-Fi coverage over an area up to 14,000 square feet, using four high-gain antennas, with enough power to penetrate office walls. You can create up to eight networks for guests and restrict access to specific users.

Bambooti (€55, or roughly $59 as of this writing) is a wooden skin for your MacBook—one that recently completed its Kickstarter campaign by making twice its production goal. It comes in walnut, mahogany, bamboo, black ash, or cherry, and it’s made for all sizes of Apple’s laptop lineup. You can even have your company logo or some other favorite design etched into the wood, for extra personalization.

Case Logic

The $68 LoDo Satchel is sized to fit a 15-inch MacBook Pro; it also feature protective iPad storage, leather-wrapped handles, two interior pockets for water bottles, and a magnetic-snap enclosure to keep everything secure.

The $79 Grovemade MacBook Dock is “crafted from domestic hardwoods” and is “held in place by clips made from laser cut resin and soft wool, keeping the laptop scratch-free.” The device is lined with cork to protect your workspace from any additional scratches.

Just Mobile

The $80 Monitor Stand Drawer is simple: Set your monitor on top, your pens and other knick-knacks inside, and you’re ready to go.

The $100 MultiSync Aluminum Mac Keyboard lets you connect up to four Bluetooth devices at once, eliminating the need for pesky cables and USB ports. The keyboard also features a numeric keypad, and a “sleek, low-profile design.”

The Seagate Backup UltraSlim external hard drive comes in two versions: $70 for 1TB of storage, or $100 for 2TB. You can choose between gold or platinum; the device starts shipping later this month.

The $348 Dual Monitor Docking Station is built to support (natch) two monitors using a Thunderbolt 2 connection. In addition to supporting two 2560 x 1600p monitors, the device also has four USB 3.0 ports, which can be used to connect up to 12 peripherals.

Urban Armor Gear

The $79 Ice Case for MacBook Air is built to make your 13-inch MacBook Air a bit tougher: It has an armor shell, non-slip grip, cooling vents, and meets military drop-test standards.
