New cases and accessories of the week
This week’s roundup includes new cases for your iPhone and iPad, as well as batteries, audio equipment, and more. Read on!
This company is offering two new products that, together, offer “complete” protection for your iPhone. The Crystal Clear TPU Case ($20 MSRP; on sale for $8) offers protection against drops and bumps, while the Clear Tempered Glass Screen Protector ($20 MSRP; on sale for $8) makes your phone screen scratch-proof, even when it comes in contact with keys and knives.
The Air Protect SheerForce case ($25 MSRP, same price on Amazon) isn’t that different from ATech’s product—it’s made of TPU to provide a soft bumper to protect against drops—but it might be just a bit more concerned with the stylishness of your phone: It comes in five colors, to match your iPhone’s hue, and is finished off with a chrome edge.
The iPad Anti-Gravity GoatCase ($29.95 MSRP) uses nano-suction technology to “attach your iPad to the mirror and watch that makeup tutorial while you’re applying makeup, watch that football game while you’re shaving, FaceTime without having to hold your phone in your hands the entire time” or other activities. Just attach the iPad to the tile wall and go to work.
The WinterCase ($69 pledge) is billed as the “world’s first hand-warming phone case.” The case can either recharge your phone during seasonable weather or, if you choose, provide up to three hours of hand heat during cold and snowy weather. There’s still a month left in this product’s crowdsourcing phase.
The JimmyCase iPhone 6 Ultra Slim Credit Card Wallet Case ($39 MSRP; $36.32 on Amazon) is an iPhone 6/6s wallet case that holds six cards—along with cash—in an elastic pocket. It has a mahogany wood core and a protective bumper.
Jack by Podo Labs ($25 pledge) lets you convert any pair of wired headphones or earbuds into wireless device—it’s a Bluetooth adapter that takes the audio signal from your iPhone or iPad and lets you plug so you can enjoy your tunes without being tied down. This device is still in crowdfunding phase, but it’s made 10 times its initial production goals already.
The Karaoke Vibe ($275 MSRP; on sale for $180 through the manufacturer or $203 on Amazon) lets you get the party started easily, featuring Bluetooth wireless streaming so you can start singing along with the rendition of “I Will Survive” that’s in your phone. It also features a front-loading CD-DVD player, a memory card slot, a microphone input, and more.
The Trianium Atomic Pro iPhone Portable Charging case ($79.95 MSRP; $40 on Amazon) is built for the iPhone 7—no outlet for an earphone jack here—and includes a 3,200-mAh battery that can add up to 14 hours of talk time to your iPhone’s battery life. You can simultaneously charge your iPhone and battery case together with the included microUSB cable.
