A piece of Pi
This week’s roundup includes a new case that can power your iPhone and remotely control your TV. Read on!
Pi Case ($59 pledge through Indiegogo) launches its crowdfunding campaign this week. The claim? “It combines full day power and all your remote controls into a thin and light package.” That’s right: In addition to adding battery life to your phone, this case also acts as a universal remote to control all your infared devices.
Arrow & Board
The Simple Apple Watch Band ($79 MSRP, same price on Amazon) is, um, a simple Apple Watch band—made of vegetable tanned leather “that will soften and patina beautifully over time.” It’s available for the 38- and 42-mm Apple Watch, and includes your choice of buckle and adapter to help your band match your watch’s finish.
The BatteryPro ($99 MSRP) is made for both the iPhone and Apple Watch. The 8,000-mAh battery features an integrated MFi-certified Apple Watch magnetic charger, a high-speed USB out, and designed to be comfortable while being carried in your back pocket.
The Sport Strap ($49.95 MSRP, same price on Amazon) for Apple Watch goes for sleekness and health: It’s made of “a naturally biocompatible, antimicrobial and hypoallergenic” vulcanized LSR silicone, and is compatible with 42-mm aluminum and steel Apple Watches.
The TrackR Pixel ($100 MSRP for a 4-pack) is a small, lightweight Bluetooth tracker—stick them on your easily-lost items (like your keys) then use the TrackR app to make them light up and make noise when you can’t find them. And if you can’t find your phone? Just activate the TrackR app remotely to make the phone ring.
Ungrip (starting at $10 MSRP) is essentially a fabric loop you attach to the back of your iPhone to make it easier to handle. The product comes in an array of designs and colors.
ENDO wireless headphones ($45 MSRP) features include “top-of-the-line” sound, 32-foot reach between the headphones and audio source, and up to nine hours of battery life.
Nomad’s Horween Leather iPhone Cases are available in standard ($39.95 MSRP, same price on Amazon) and bifold ($49.95 MSRP, same price on Amazon) versions for the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. Both are midnight blue, and made of “minimally treated, vegetable-tanned leather from one of America’s oldest tanneries.”
Case-Custom’s Custom iPad Pro 12.9-inch Case ($69 MSRP) “covers the back, sides and corners of your iPad Pro with an impact-resistant Polycarbonate shell.” But what makes it cool is, natch ,the customization: Add the images and text you want to truly personalize your case.
