Prefer the form factor of the previous-generation iPad Pros? You’ll want to head over to B&H Photo today, where the retailer is selling the 2017 12.9-inch models for anywhere from $270 to $450 off at a time when competitors like Best Buy are still selling them for full price. On the low end, that will get you a silver 256GB model with Wi-Fi and LTE for $679, down $400 from the normal retail price of $1,079.
B&H is also selling a gold 256GB Wi-Fi-only model for $679, which is $270 down from the normal price of $949. But getting this model would be silly, considering you can get the LTE model for the exact same price. Even if you decide you don’t want to activate the cellular connection right of the bat, it’s a great option to have.
These models still have Touch ID and only support the first-generation Apple Pencil (which you’ll have to buy separately for $95). The tablets are powered by Apple’s powerful A10X chip and sport a 12 megapixel rear camera and a 7 megapixel front camera. The large Retina display has a resolution of 2732x2048 at 264ppi. If you want good power without paying the hefty price for the latest models, these units will serve you well.
