Best new Mac games coming in 2016: General release dates on Mac
Finding the latest games on a Mac is always a little tricky, as game developers tend to produce games for other platforms before publishing a Mac-compatible version.
Therefore some of the games which will be listed here might not yet be confirmed for Mac, but in the past we’ve often found games to release several months later on Mac operating systems.
We should also mention that not all Macs are powerful enough to run the latest and greatest games, where some of the games which will be listed here and very graphically intense and need a strong graphics card to run them.

Best new Mac games coming in 2016: Rocket League

Release date: Unconfirmed, spring 2016
This fun, action packed racing/football game has taken an incredible rise to success on Steam, being one of the most played games in the world and even showing up on the competitive scene!
The game is rumoured to be coming to Mac very soon and we hope to see Mac gamers among us playing on Rocket League very soon!
Best new Mac games coming in 2016: Total War: Warhammer

Release date: 24 May 2016
As real time strategies, Total War is one of the best developped RTS game series’ out there. They’ve teamed up with Warhammer to create a fantastic game.
The cinematic announcement trailer ( video link) already got our pulses racing and we’re excited to see the game come out on Mac. it can be pre-ordered for £39.99 on Amazon as an online game code.
We’re excited to see this game come out and hope this time we won’t see a whole host of bugs within the game!
Best new Mac games coming in 2016: Ark: Survival Evolved

Release date: June 2016
This survival game is both visually beautiful and seems to combine single and multiplayer elements together to create a great up-and-coming game on Mac.
The game is already out as an Early Access Game on Steam but is set for a full release in June. It will cost £22.99 to purchase through Steam.
We like the look of the game and hope it runs smoothly on Mac computers.
Best new Mac games coming in 2016: Homefront: The Revolution

Release date: 20 May 2016
The game which is set to launch on 20 May 2016 on Mac (among other platforms) is an open world first-person shooter. This game follows the original Homefront game and is presented as a sequel.
In the game you’ll be playing as the protagonist Ethan Brady who is staging a revolution over the Korean army which are invading the city of Philadelphia.
We’re excited to see this come out on Mac alongside the other platforms.
Best new Mac games coming in 2016: Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

Release date: Late 2016
It has been over 15 years since the original Deus Ex was released, so naturally we’re excited to see a new version, Mankind Devided which was announced at E3 2015.
The game will be based in 2029 and have an open world element to it, meaning various decisions will alter the ending of the storyline.
The game can already be pre-ordered on Amazon on Windows PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Unfortunately there’s no news on the Mac release as of yet.
Best new Mac games coming in 2016: Dishonored 2

Release date: Spring 2016
The game, which was announced at E3 2015 looks fantastic, but very little gameplay footage has been shared. There is a YouTube video which is the official announce trailer shared by the publishers, Bethesda Softworks
After having a successful launch in 2012 with the original Dishonored game, Arkane Studios the developers and Bethesda Softworks have decided to create a sequel.
You can already pre-order it on Windows PC for £34.85 on Amazon right-now, and is also out for £44.86 on PS4 and Xbox One. There is no current news on it being launched on Mac, but we hope to see it released soon!
Best new Mac games coming in 2016: For Honor

Release date: Unconfirmed, late 2016
Developed by Ubisoft, we expect nothing but the best from For Honor. The game is a third-person melee game which combines strategy, combat and teamwork.
The price has already been confirmed at £44 on PS4, so we expect the game to be slightly cheaper on Mac when it’s launched.
A trailer was launched in 2015 ( video link) and the visual cinematics look fantastic. There is also some gameplay footage of the game ( video link), which showcases the multiplayer element.
Best new Mac games coming in 2016: Call of Duty 2016

Release date: Unconfirmed, late 2016
Call of Duty is one of the most famous and usually anticipated first person shooters in the world, due to its engaging campaign and generally good multiplayer aspects.
A very long shot, but Call of Duty might be launched in 2016 and after confirmation in February that Infinity Ward are developing the game; speculations of its release date have been widely speculated.
The problem Mac users face is that even the older Call of Duty titles are yet to be released or developed for Mac, so for it now to be released in 2016 with full Mac support seems unlikely, but we can always hope!
