The best Disney iPhone cases of 2019

Perhaps the best place to start is Disney’s own offering.

This is a case that’s both classy and classic, classic Disney that is. If you’re a Mickey fan, here’s a case that subtly pays homage to the character that started it all. It’s a basic snap on case made of leather and plastic that allows access to all ports and button.

The Mickey Leather case fits the iPhone 7 and iPhone 6.

Of course, if you’re a Minnie fan, there is this polycarbonate case from OtterBox for the iPhone X. We’ve featured Otterbox cases in many of our other phone cases round ups, as they areo offer reliable protection. And this one is both protective and cute.

There’s also one for Mickey, though it’s slightly more expensive at $54.99/around £40.72.

Here’s an option that’s both cute and stylish for the iPhone XR. It’s a simple bumper case, but what gives it pizzazz is it’s studded with Swarovski crystals…because why not?

Skinny Dip’s Disney cases fit a broad range of iPhone models. This case, featuring Abu from Aladdin, is available for the iPhone 6/6S, 7/7 Plus, 8/8 Plus up to the newer generation iPhone X/XS/XS Max and iPhone XR.

It’s a shell case that covers the back and sides of the phone and has cut outs for access to all ports and buttons.

Casetify is a favourite of ours because it produces high quality cases in a range of patterns and designs for nearly every size of the iPhone. You can customize your own cases too.

This case, called ‘The Princess and The Rose’ has been designed by New York-based Casetify artist Melsy, who’s done other Disney-inspired cases as well. The cool thing about Casetify is you can customize additional ornamentation like a swirly glitter or liquid sand background fill. You can also choose to have the same print on a wallet case too.

This one might be slightly sombre take on the Little Mermaid, but we love the delicate brush strokes and lines (credit goes to the Redbubble designer Lapica)! The case is lightweight as well, at 15g.

You can find it for nearly every iPhone model, from iPhone 4/4s up to iPhone X and there’s a dual layer “Tough” version as well for £25.18/US$31.25. Both versions are compatible with Qi-standard wireless charging.

Here’s a cheap and cheerful option for the iPhone 5, SE, iPhone 6/6S and iPhone 7. I-Tec offers a range of Disney characters. Aside from the ones pictured here, you can also find Snow White, Winnie the Pooh, Tinkerbell, Rapunzul from Tangled and Olaf from Frozen.

Options for US shoppers is slightly limited, though you can find a similar  Snow White ($5.99) and Ariel floating glitter case ($11.99) on Amazon.

We like the hand drawn look of this case, and that it captures nearly all of our favourite Disney classics.

It’s not intended for heavy duty protection, but it will make your iPhone colourful, bright and fun – everything you think of when it comes to Disney. You can get this case for nearly all iPhone models, from iPhone 5 to iPhone XS and iPhone XR. 

Wakanda may be forever, but without a case, you can’t say the same for your iPhone. Disney currently has the following Black Panther cases available. Both are available for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 7. You can get it for other iPhone models as well (iPhone 4 to iPhone 7 Plus/8 Plus models), though prices vary.

The tribal pattern case is from Casemate – it’s lightweight, impact-resistant and has bezel edges to protect the screen from scratches. 

For even more power-packed Panther protection, there is the dual-layer Symmetry case from OtterBox (pictured on right), which will cost you a little more at $56.95/around £43.10.

With Disney acquiring Lucasfilm in 2012, the scope of Disney characters has expanded to infinity and beyond.

Star Wars and Disney fans alike can rejoice with this Stormtrooper OtterBox case for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 7. We like its minimalist style and colour palette – though to be fair, the Death Star isn’t the most vibrant places in the galaxy anyway.

With OtterBox’s Drop+ protection, you can be certain the iPhone will be protected with (the) force.

Of course, Marvel is now also a part of the Disney family. Shield your phone with Captain America, or get shock protection with Thor. The prices do vary for both models, however, with the Captain America case at $34.95 and Thor at $39.95.

We like the retro look of these cases, so if you’re a bigger fan of the comic books than the movies, these might be the cases for you.
