The Johnson Space Centre has released a batch of images that relate to the launch of the Space Shuttle this weekend — and it looks like an iPod’s got a seat on the International Space Station.
NASA launched the Space Shuttle Discovery on Saturday. It’s scheduled to rendezvous with the International Space Station tomorrow.
European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Thomas Reiter is on board the International Space Station — with his iPod. An image released by NASA clearly shows an iPod and a Belkin external battery pack taped to the equipment rack in front of the astronaut. He flies home when Discovery returns to Earth.
The Discovery crew includes commander Mark Polansky, pilot Bill Oefelein, and mission specialists Nicholas Patrick, Joan Higginbotham, Bob Curbeam, Sunita Williams and Christer Fuglesang.
