Further evidence confirming an increasing pace of migration to Macs has been revealed.
An AppleInsider report looked at twenty US Apple specialist resellers, and confirmed that approximately 25 per cent of people buying a new Mac now are new to the platform. The report predicts the number will continue to rise, as Windows users are attracted by the versatility of Boot Camp.
The survey was conductd by Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster. He reckons Mac dealers are looking forward to good strong sales this Christmas.
The analyst notes that Apple specialist shops usually serve professional customers, so it’s no mean feat to attract a 25 per cent switcher rate. “We see this as a fairly high number,” he explained.
