UK users hoping to get their hands on an iPhone 3G may face a little frustration, as supplies here will be limited, a report claims.
Electric Pig is reporting an insider at “one of the official iPhone 3G retailers” who claims Apple is upset with the UK market, as it seems there’s a huge trend for unlocking the iPhone in the UK.
The report states that less than 15 per cent of iPhones sold after the last price drop appeared on O2’s network – the rest were jailbroken for use on other networks, or for sale on eBay.
In response, the report claims the UK will receive extremely limited quantities of the next-gen model, with the 16GB in particularly short supply. And the white model may never reach the UK…
