Apple has instituted a number of price changes and special offers in recent hours, reflecting statements made by chief financial officer, Fred Anderson last night.
Anderson promised that Apple would be spending more on marketing and special holiday offers over the coming months. Now (after slashing iMac prices yesterday), Apple UK has launched the “Digital Memories” promotion.
Apple is offering customers buying a CD-RW iMac between October 16 and December 31, 2001 an HP Photosmart 318 2.3-megapixel digital camera – for a pound!
iMacs can be purchased from the online Apple Store, or participating authorised resellers. If purchased at the Apple Store, the camera will ship with the order for a nominal £1. If purchased at a reseller, customers must download and fill in a coupon to take advantage of the offer, and pay a a shipping and handling fee of £15.
