Apple has fixed new prices for its Power Mac G4 speakers, DVD-R media, and iBook AV cable, and – as reported yesterday – is offering an HP digital camera for £1 with every CD-RW iMac bought.
Apple’s Power Mac G4 speakers now cost £41 (all prices include VAT) – down from £46. A pack of DVD-R media has dropped to just £23.50 from £41. However, an iBook AV cable has climbed slightly in price to £18, from £15.
Apple UK’s Digital Memories promotion means customers buying a CD-RW iMac between October 16 and December 31, 2001, can also purchase an HP Photosmart 318 2.3-megapixel digital camera for £1.
Buying advice iMacs can be purchased from the online Apple Store, or participating authorised resellers. If purchased at the Apple Store, the camera will ship with the order for a nominal £1. If purchased at a reseller, customers must download and fill in a coupon to take advantage of the offer, and pay a shipping and handling fee of £15.
Apple has also lopped £100 off the cost of its entire range of entry-level and mid-range iMacs.
In another push to boost sales, Apple has also launched its “Double your RAM” promotion in which purchasers of new PowerBook G4s get double the standard pre-installed RAM at no extra charge.
