The highly anticipated Apple high-definition television set will have FaceTime, Siri and AirPlay capabilities, and will look like a larger Apple monitor.
That’s according to Cult of Mac, who claims that its anonymous source has seen a prototype of the Apple television set, which “resembled an Apple monitor, only much larger.”
The source claims that the HDTV has a built in iSight camera for FaceTime, which has facial recognition and the ability to follow users when they move around a room. FaceTime can be activated by Siri, the iPhone 4S’s assistant, which will be built-in to the Apple television set.
Cult of Mac says: “Our source is well-placed and has provided us with great tips in the past. However, not all of them have panned out, ostensibly due to the fact that our source tends to see products in the prototype or early development stage and Apple doesn’t always ultimately choose to release them.”
The source did not reveal any details about the television’s interface, its pricing, or its release schedule, but the latest predictions suggest that the device could make an appearance in early 2014.
