Last week, Apple released a new iPhone 5 ad that shows off the device as the most-used phone for listening to music. Upon closer inspection, however, it’s emerged that the advert may also give us our first glimpse at Apple’s rumoured iWatch device.
At around the 30-second mark, the advert shows an iPhone user tapping along to a track he is listening to through his Earpods. On his wrist, we can see a watch-like gadget that some people, through Twitter and Apple sites, have speculated could be Apple’s smart watch, dubbed iWatch.
The latest reports suggest that we might not see the launch of an iWatch until 2014, because a compatible version of iOS would require major changes that will take a long time to get right.
Earlier this year, reports claimed that Apple has a team of 100 people working on a smart watch.
