What to ask Siri on the HomePod

While Siri on the HomePod should be the same as Siri on any other Apple device, unfortunately (at least for now) it’s a little more limited on Apple’s smart speaker. However, when it comes to using a HomePod, Siri is really your main means of enacting with it.

As we said above, Siri on the HomePod is a little limited for now, but when iOS 12 arrives in the autumn Siri will get a raft of new abilities thanks to better integration with third-party apps and a new Shortcuts app that will enable users to assign sequences of actions to spoken commands. As a result, when iOS 12 arrives it will be possible to trigger third-party apps via the HomePod.
