As of 13 October, Microsoft will no longer support Office 2016 for Mac. The program is expected to continue working, but it will not be able to connect to Office 365 services. This is stated in a support document that Microsoft recently published.
This is bad news for Mac users who rely on the Office suite. As recently as 2018, the program received a major collaboration update.
Microsoft will not actively block older versions of Office from connecting to Office 365, which indicates that the program may still work as before, MacRumors writes. However, if you encounter problems, you will not get help from Microsoft.
