While pre-orders for the iPhone 12 Pro Max and 12 Mini opened on Friday (here’s
where to get the best deal), Apple also began selling its classic leather cases for the iPhone 12 models. But a potential problem has been discovered when combining leather accessories with the new MagSafe chargers.
In an unusually transparent move, Apple has
warned customers that MagSafe chargers can leave round marks on the leather cases. But in a new and startling development, the company actually shows, in the official photography on the
product’s store entry, what this mark is likely to look like after a period of use:
In an accompanying text, the company writes that customers who are bothered by the round mark should choose Apple
silicone cases or
transparent plastic cases instead.
