Big news for those looking to pick up Apple’s latest flagship phones: Amazon has £100 off the 12 mini (64GB) and £75 other storage configuration. It also has up to £86 off the iPhone 12, while Very, John Lewis and Currys PC World have £75 off both the iPhone 12 and 12 mini.
These are the biggest discounts we’ve seen on these phones since launch. We previously saw £40 off the iPhone 12 and 12 mini mid-March but now discounts are only growing.
These are the lowest prices for the iPhone 12 mini:
- 64GB – Was £699, now £599 from Amazon (in blue or red), £75 off other colours
- 128GB – Was £749, now £674 from Amazon, Very, and John Lewis
- 256GB – Was £849, now £774 from Amazon, Very, and John Lewis
The offers reduce the iPhone 12’s price as follows:
- 64GB – Was £799, Now £712 from Amazon, Very and John Lewis
- 128GB – Was £849, Now £774 from Amazon, Very and John Lewis
- 256GB – Was £949, Now £874 from Amazon, Very and John Lewis (also includes £10 on a Belkin Qi wireless charger and Bluetooth speaker 2-in-1)
The iPhone 12 mini launched last November with the 12 Pro Max, following the release of the iPhone 12 and 12 Pro on 23 October, 2020. The range marked Apple’s entrance into the 5G market.
It’s not entirely surprising retailers might be gearing the 12 mini for clearance. The discount comes after Apple poised to slow the production of the 12 mini in order to step up production of the iPhone 12 Pro, which remains the most popular handset in the series – although much more expensive, with a starting price of £999 for the 64GB option.
If that’s not cash you’re willing to part with immediately, the standalone iPhone 12 remains an excellent handset.
The 12 is incredibly fast, thanks to the A14 Bionic processor, and features an excellent 6.1in OLED. Cameras are similarly impressive and can handle most conditions. You just don’t get the optical zoom and Night Mode of the 12 Pro – but these are only minor drawbacks.
