If you’ve so far resisted the temptation to buy Apple’s AirPods Max, your patience has been rewarded: There’s a limited time deal available on eBay that slashes the price on the premium over-ear headphones by £175. This is by some distance the cheapest we’ve ever seen them.
As part of eBay’s autumn sale, you can get the AirPods Max for just £374. It’s still a premium price for a pair of Bluetooth headphones, but it’s quite a bit cheaper than the £549 RRP. The deal applies specifically to the Space Gray AirPods Max on the Buy It Direct eBay Store, and you’ll have to enter code FALL20 at checkout to get the additional saving.
You’ll want to be quick though; the limited-time promotion ends at 23:59 on Tuesday 12 October 2021, so if you’re tempted, don’t hesitate.
The AirPods Max went on sale in December 2020, and attracted attention for their very high price tag as much as for their sumptuous audio quality and striking design.
“The priorities when you’re considering a set of over-ear headphones are comfort of fit and audio quality, and the AirPods Max pass both tests with flying colours,” we said in our review. “But at this price, you may be looking for a product that ticks all the boxes, rather than just the main two.”
This (comparatively) low price may encourage a few more potential customers to take the plunge on what remain extremely luxurious headphones.
