Apple’s subscription-based music streaming service, Apple Music, is now available on Sony’s PlayStation 5 games console. This means players can stream music via Apple Music while playing PS5 exclusives such as Returnal.
Music can also be streamed via Spotify on Sony’s latest games console.
PlayStation 5 is for now the only game console with Apple Music, but a rumour from earlier this year suggested that Apple was also working on an app for the Microsoft store that could see it ultimately arrive on the Xbox.
This isn’t Apple’s first foray into providing apps for games consoles. The company’s TV app – and with it, the ability to stream films and programmes via its TV+ subscription service – was announced for Xbox last October and for PS5 and PS5 later that month.
